A site sponsor said the TX calls for Pentosin MTF2, but I drained 1.75L of the original (don't think drain plug has ever been cracked) and put the Saab 93165290 (MTF0063) back in, as this is what an old Saab dealership parts counter said it used.
I'm usually in DC where there is a lot of noise, and hardly ever exceed 15mph! But back in the Carolinas on some quiet streets, and noticed that at low RPMS and decelerating I hear some slight whine. Is this normal?
She has 80k on her and always properly serviced. Shifts fine, but just want to know if I should have used the Pentosin or the OE stuff.
Also, WIS says the AWD only takes 1.6L to drain and refill.
There is no level plug on these cars. ANyway to confirm not over/underfilling?
