Well, just as if I wanted to confirm what Steve said in the preceding post, I did replace the Aero expansion tank saturday afternoon, outside in the driveway. -15C is quite cold, but that's a full 10 degrees warmer than for the whole preceding week... And with all that heat coming form the turbo and the catalytic converter, my arms were in a pool of warm air...
It'S quite easy to do, once you figure how to unclip the bottom hose from the tank. The old one was from 2009, and the new one is identical (Valeo branded, made in France, both hoses included).
Now, having the old one cleaned and dry on the bench, I wonder : where is the leak ? Can't see anything obvious. The seam opens under pressure ? The plastic is porous ? Maybe it was not the tank ?
I'd like to know, just to know what to look for the next time...
