Yes some tires are more prone to feathering and Bridgestone tires do seem to be one of them. Also some cars are more prone to feathering tires and Saab's seem to be one of them.
You might be surprised how far off your rear alignment is. Luckily for you you rear toe and camber are adjustable. Normal suspension sag is the culprit there and the first few years are when much of it happens.
Yes feathered tires can be salvaged but it is not cost effective. Usually commercial truck tire shops can shave the tires but they were charging $75 a tire todo that a few years ago. Good Luck, Bernie at George Riggin Specialty Automotive
