Have had several "flood salvage". Most had not been flooded. Owners get more from insurance than if they sell a normal car. Real flood depends on sea or fresh water and how much. With a charged battery, try to move drivers seat. The connector and seat motors are the first to corrode when water is in the car. Tech2 will be needed, pull and diagnose all codes. Radio prob. will not work, amp1 is under drivers seat. Salt water will corrode the catalytic converter.
Currently driving a 08 Aero for over a year. Carfax shows "severe flood damage", car has never been flooded. Another car was in hurricane Sandy, but only under the car, Cat had a small hole, rust on suspension, but brakes OK, incl.rotors. Carfax showed value more than KBB. Needs experience to determine damage and value. You could sell parts for more than $1000.
