I did this replacement over Thanksgiving weekend Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 4 Jan 2015 08:03:47 In Reply to: ACC Fan acting up, AeroEd, Sun, 4 Jan 2015 06:04:11 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I postponed a couple days waiting for the 50 degree temperatures. My advice is as follows:
Buy a Valeo brand fan. Valeo is the Saab OEM supplier and buying their brand will save you 50% in parts.
Do Not buy an off brand to save another $20 or so! This was my mistake and resulted in a prolonged fit up.
Search for video clips and instruction sets online.
Buy either ball headed Torx bits in T15 and T20 sizes, or get a flexible extension for standard bits.
Budget one to three hours for this job. If all goes well it will be closer to one hour.
