So if my heat shield woes were not enough, the Manual Transmission is now popping out of 1st gear, (and sometimes 3rd.) (2006 9-3 SC 5 speed MT) I need to hold the stick in place firmly to have any chance of the tranny staying engaged in 1st. It shifts in and out of 2, 4, 5 just fine, and this stick movement seems smooth and positive between all gears.
Perhaps something is worn in the shifter linkage assembly? Back in my VW days I recall you could buy replacement linkage rods and bushings individually to replace worn or broken components. Is that the case with the NG 9-3's? On eeuro I only see a single shift linkage assembly Pn 55556311.
Anyone else have this problem?
