Well, as I mentioned. I see just about no failures of the black top ignition coils so it is up to you if and when you want to replace them.
My wife's 07 is at nearly 160K now with no problems. But I have also replaced spark plugs on a 40K mile interval (just because I can).
The Volvo's on the other hand from 99 and up and the Saab 9-3 V6 with original first generation coils, I replace a lot of those.
