Have two Volvo S60 T5s: a 2014 with the 5-cyl engine and a 2016 with a 4-cyl / e-drive. I thoroughly enjoy both cars but Volvos do not ‘drive’ like Saabs.
The best thing about Volvos is you can get great deals on them. I got the ‘14 as a CPO with 9K miles for $23K incl tax and license and it’s been reasonably reliable at 105K except for a pesky AC clutch the dealer simply cannot diagnose; got the ‘16 last May as a leftover vehicle for $22.3K incl tax and license. Completely loaded and with only 65 miles on it.
Plenty of deals are out there on new and very low mileage S60s if you surf the major car selling sites and are willing to go a distance to get your car. Volvo also has a new CPO warranty for 5 years / unlimited miles.
If the standard 250hp 4-cylinder isn’t to your liking, you can have Volvo insert a Polestar chip that ups to torque and hp to ~300. Costs around $1200.
The cars depreciate quickly so go low-mileage used / CPO or get a ‘17 or ‘18 leftover.
