crap. Well I see lots of reasonably priced 9-3s around. $7k will get you a convertible non-aero with 80K miles pretty easily. That v-6 is a tight fit and really hard to work on ($$). But replacing the head on a 9-3 4 cyl. or taking it off to replace the valves if the seats are not worn is not going to be cheap! I wanted to stay 08 and newer as they made a lot of improvements allegedly. Maybe not so much. My 1991 900 turbo went 350K miles on the original head and I only had to replace it because it had a very small crack because it got too hot once. Valves were still good. Any engine that cannot go 100k miles with no issues is a piece of junk. :-) My son's twin-turbo 135i BMW has low miles and a couple of problems--it's ridiculous.
