I just purchased 2011 turbo4 with 57K.. Beautiful car, (one of many SAAB's in my garage from Sonett III to 9-5 Aero),that has a issue with the automatic "torsion box" or, top storage box. It will not fold up when the top is closed. The two cables I can trace are attached. If I fold the box up manually I than have to use a screw driver to retract the pin on the upper corner of the vertical board, in trunk, on the right to release it to get the top to open (fold down). Question 1) where is the other end of the cable that pulls the release pin, and what activates it? 2)Is there a way to test the Hall sensor, can that be the issue?
Any help would be welcome, there are no Saab Techs on the west slope in Colorado
