clutch-looking for a mechanic

I have 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0t with manual transmission. I made about 135 thousand miles on it. I Had a problem with a gear box and a clutch. I took the car to the mechanic. He changed the whole transmission (I found a used one) and changed all clutch parts (flywheel, pressure plate, slave and master cylinders.. everything), but the clutch does not work. Me and him consulted other places. No help. The mechanic is not sure if the air gets into a hydraulic system or it is there and he cannot bleed it. When I press the clutch, it stays there. My mechanic gave up. It's been week already we are struggling with a clutch issue. I contacted one one Saab place in NY. He told me he will charge $1500 for taking a transmission out and he will change ALL the parts. Parts are brand new, most genuine Saab, why to change all?! Total around 4 thousand. I love my Saab! I don't want it to end up in a junk yard! Does anybody know a good mechanic in New York City (Queens, Brooklyn, Nassau County) who knows Saabs and can help me?
