Good news! The MDI Clone I got worked. Took a bit of fiddling but I was able to read the DTC code causing the key lock.
That's when the bad news started: CIM B1000 - 36 Control Module Internal Fault.
Couldn't even clear the code so I could turn the key. the CIM is well and truly cacked.
So I will need a new CIM and new keyfobs. Bad news for me is the steering wheel is locked dead on so I can't access the airbag clips. So I have to figure out how to get a new CIM but also get access to the old one so I can get it off in the first place.
