As Bernie has pinted out, the least expensive and easiest to do...is to remove the ISM (gnition switch and clean it out. Because the switch center plunger is not fully coming up (when you remove the key, or one of the three internal cam switches is stuck even if the plunger is up when the key is removed (grease or dirt build up), or there is trace carbon build up on the circuit board between the sliding switch trace contacts points. Cleaning with alcohol swab works here. Tech2 is not required for the ISM. Procedure is on Youtube.
If this does not work then look to the CIM replacement. CIM can be purchased as a virgin version (used).
Used CIMS are made virgin by reprogramming its memory prom with equipment which can do it with the chip still on or off the circuit board.
You Would need TECH2 to copy your specific car programming from the ECU into the CIM. Plus you would need all of your existing keys as part of the programming process.
