Hello,
I finally got time to work on installing that Kenwood nav/radio unit:
https://www.esaabparts.com/saab/parts/88800074
It's a bit of work as it is really just a kit. Many wires, connectors to cut and join. There is a link to instructions online (no instructions included). I wish I read them before ordering the kit...
Anyway, after all the cutting, crimping and heat shrinking I installed the unit (not using cameras or microphone). All seems to work (on/of, settings, device conenctions, Android Auto, even steering wheel controls) except there is no sound at all. I can see the volume indicator moving in response to volume controls (either on unit or steering wheel). Familiar radio stations are found and seem to be "playing". Rechecked all the conenctions, all seems fine. Put the original radio back in — works fine.
Any ideas? Amp not turning on? The wire for that from Kenwood to Saab conenctor is there. How to verify wether Saab amp is turning on or not?
Thanks...
