Like Dean said, there are only two Torx screws and the one large nut. Definitely disconnect the battery for peace of mind. I didn't the first time I took my steering wheel off, and it caused the SRS light to come on. The next two times, I disconnected the battery first and it worked great. Any 9-3 should still be under the extended SRS warrenty, but still, if you don't have to play stupid to the dealer, why take the chance? The steering wheel can go back in any position, so make sure it's straight up and down. The electrical contact ring for the airbag can only turn so far in either direction, so also make sure the wheels are straight ahead so it's straight when you pull it out. Basically, disconnect the battery, make sure everything's straight, and it's a piece of cake. If something goes wrong, just take it to the dealer and say "the SRS light just came on! I don't know what happened!".
