I understand that the 9-5 is in a different price class. But I don't feel that the 9-3ss quality is commensurate with its price class. The interior looks more like what one would expect in a $20k Nissan. The stereo in a Cavalier loaner the dealer gave me sounded far better than the one in my 9-3ss (again, the rear speakers look like they came out of a clock radio, and sound like it). In 2004 a $30k car should not have 1) a b-pillar airbag that constantly creaks; 2) a loud rattle from within the passenger side dash; a glovebox latch that only releases 50% of the time that the release button is pressed -- all of which afflict my 9-3ss with only 12,000 miles. It can only get worse with time and mileage. BTW, my 9-5 with 37,000 miles had zero squeeks, rattles, or other defects.
