Aux is an additional input into your headunit that will allow you to plug an accessory (most likely an iPOD or other mp3 player). There is a catch though, Saab didn't install the inputs in our 9-3s yet.

If you open your armrest, you will see that to the right of the accessory plug, there is a raised rectangular plug that is covering a hole. That is where the AUX input is supposed to be. If you want to use the AUX input you will have to build yourself an input jack and plug it into the back of your headunit. Saab doesn't have a part yet that connects the port to the back of the radio.

This is actually a really easy thing to do, I built my port this past weekend and am getting AUX enabled tomorrow at my dealership. If you have an mp3 player, or aspirations to plug anything else (XM radio/Sirius) directly into your EHU and get rid of horrible FM transmitters, I really recommend doing this.
