I'd be inclined to replace just the evaporator, unless your mechanic can come up with a story why the leak was caused by some other part. How about brackets that hold hoses in place? Something bent, misaligned, etc?
If it's been open to air for long, a new receiver/dryer would make sense.
If it was the condenser leaking from a stone hit or something like that, it would be more obvious to replace ONLY that.
