Missing ISOFIX connector on new 9-3

After taking delivery on my new '04 9-3 Aero last week, when I was installing my kid's car seat in the back I discovered that one of the LATCH/ISOFIX achors (the brackets between the seat and the seat back for securing child seats) is missing the bar that the car seat's strap hooks on to. The other three LATCH positions have two metal brackets with a round bar in between that the hook attaches to. On the passenger/interior position, the brackets are there, but the bar is missing.
I have informed the dealer and the service managers has assured me that they will fix it, but that they have never seen this problem before and that they are awaiting guidance from Saab as to how to fix the problems. Has anyone else seen this happen? How do you think they will fix it? How can I know that the fix will be safe/strong enough to hold the child seat in position in an accident?
