I feel your pain... I've experienced the same problem whenever the outside temps go above 78 F and the interior becomes warm (a definite problem in Southern California where such conditions exist 3/4 of the year). While I haven't approached the dealer about this yet I'm not going to hold my breath. The 30 day inspection was a joke, and I'm not looking forward to the 10K one.
I would be careful about messing with the electrical, however. I wouldn't be surprised if it tied-in with the front/side air bag systems. You could inadvertantly disable them (or discharge them).
FWIW, I have found that if I "smack" the seat surface with the palm of my hand a couple times, the light will often go off. Of course, who wants to be physically abusive to their car?
Love the car otherwise.
