I have a 9-5 Aero wagon as well, and assumed I'd have to get the 9-3 Aero convertible. But the Arc with 17" wheels is basically the same as the Aero minus the sport suspension, and unlike the Aero 9-5 vs. other versions (where the difference was dramatic), the difference was imperceptible to me.
I think you should be able to buy a 9-3 Arc convertible at ~ $1000 less than invoice now, perhaps more with the new incentives. All in that makes an Arc with 17" sport package SO much cheaper than the Aero that the Aero makes no sense.
One thing I also learned is that the GM Supplier discount is now close to worthless as its pricing went up, now to about 1.5% OVER invoice. Still this might help with something like an Aero 6-sp where dealer otherwise doesn't want to negotiate as much but every other Saab, it seems not to be the best deal.
