It's all good.... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: 9-3 SS- Linear options- Best of vs. overrated.., ddcGrant, Sat, 24 Jul 2004 21:09:09 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It's all good! From a "no option" base 9-3 Linear, to a fully loaded with premium package, power seat, cold package and maybe even the sport package.
15's vs 16's vs 17's - IMO the handling of a Linear is a function of the chassis not the tire and wheel. I like the look of the 16's for only $500, the 17's are $1,445, ouch, but include tire pressure monitors.
The premium package is nice stuff and cheap at $850. The dual digital climate control and refrigerated glove box, the rear A/C vent for the back seat (if it's got knobs and a rear seat AC vent then it's an early production 2004, the rear vent was deleted for later cars), the 6 disc in dash CD changer (the CD changer is over $600 all by itself installed at the dealer) and the premium package includes the color matched lowers and front fog lights that when combined with the 16' rims (which is most of the time) makes a Linear look just like an Arc.
The power seat allows tilting of the seat base, where as the manual height adjustment does not.
The cold weather package, heated seats and headlight washers, well even in SoCal I get a lot of use out of my heated seats. Without the ACC in the premium package you get only the on/off cycling seat heaters, but with ACC you get the three position seat heaters, another premium package bonus if you get the heated seats.
Selection of non sunroof cars is very limited, but they are availible.
