SID Directional Turn Signal Clicking

I've been searching all over the board tonight, and have yet to find someone with a solution, so please help!
The directional turn signal clicking noise on my '99 9-3 SE disappeared a few months ago. From reasearching, I know that the sound is generated by the SID through a speaker. I have no problems with SID display whatsoever(knock on wood), the external blinkers function properly, the blinker in the dash works properly, everything is fine but the clicking noise is gone.
Unlike many people who hate the sound, I love it. But the real problem I see with it is that while this sound is gone, because they are all generated the same way, so are all of my warning beeps and tones like for the seatbelt and keys in the ignition and SID notifications.
Has anyone figured out how to fix this without replacing the SID altogether? Is this something that could've gotten "confused" in the SID and switched itself off through software(therefore can be turned back on with a tech2)? Any solutions?
