is redline the miracle oil? OK, here's a l o n g story of my tranny fluid change in my 01 9-3SE with 48K. hope it helps anyone else out there that is going thru the same problems.
shifting wasn't that great, i'd have to rattle the shifter a little as i went into 2nd, 3rd and 4th (i never got stuck in gear), so i changed the original fluid to Saab's MTF0063. right away, it shifted GREAT.
BUT after about 4 weeks, i noticed it started getting a little "clunky" again going into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
so i changed the tranny fluid to Redline MTF. right away, not much difference, still clunky shifts, AND it actually started getting harder getting into 1st.
BUT, after 1 week of driving (about 400 miles), i have noticed that shifting has improved tremendously! much nicer than the MTF ever was. don't know technically what is going on, but something happened.
So, i don't know what Redline is doing, but it's the "miracle cure" for your transmission! :-)
