Which old one were you referring too? I've driven 9-5's of all years quite a bit in my capacity as a Saab sales consultant and I own a 2000 9-5 Aero SportWagon. What the heck are you talking about?
Please not to bash the savior of Saab, GM. A GM sponsored remodel of the Trollhattan plant for 9-5 production in 1998 has resulted in a truly reliable, well built Saab, both 9-5 and 9-3.
And I defy you to point out what part of a Saab 9-5 has GM'ified. You won't find Saab parts in other GM cars. A 9-5 has very little in common, save for some basic chassis parts, with any other GM car, including the outstanding workmanship and materials found in cars built in Trollhattan.
