Welcome to the world of new(er) Saab. Just recently joined myself. I upgraded from an '85 900i to a '99 9-3 5 Door, and I couldn't be happier. I agree that I also miss something of my classic 900. Always felt good to be in such a unique car. Although, I still enjoy the fact that I am not driving a "fleet-mobile" like the majority of the population! Yes, there are some know issues with the 9-3's, but there are with every car on the road! And the best thing is, that you get lots of support from the saab online community! Happy driving (roofless driving - lucky sod!) :-)
