Steering wheel vibration at 65+

My 1999 9-3 base has 95K miles on it now. It runs very well though. I
have had a strange steering wheel vibration or shudder that appears at
high speeds (65 mph +). It's strange in that it appears only under acceleration (foot on the gas) or braking at this speed. If you take your
foot off the gas (or brake) at this speed it goes away and cruises fine
at any speed. The problem also is not consistent..it may not do this sometimes. It goes away at higher speeds under acceleration/braking 75mph?
It never happens at lower speeds (0-60).
I have the MPP steering brace+clamp but don't think that is it. I just replaced the front rotors and pads ; it is a bit better but is still there.
The problem did sound like it could be warped rotors when braking but it
also appears under acceleration at these speeds? I've read the archives
and guess it to be the CV joints? If it is a cylinder misfiring would it
happen under braking? Could it be the struts with all these miles on them? It seems to me as the car ages these things become more difficult to pinpoint.
Thanks for all the help.
