Yes, of course... You think the Saab 9-3 is a Saab don't you? I think even the 900 is essentially an Opel. So is the 9-5. If you take a ride in the "highend" Saturn L300, you'll find very similar material/trim in the interior. Thats also Opel.
Just so you know, Saab still do a lot of independent powertrain and suspension tuning for better performance. Saab interior is essentially still non-american... However, the basic car and engine platform have been "GM" for a long time now.
The Saab 9-3ss drives much much much better than the Malibu.. The 9-2x and 9-7x are just GM's way of pushing sales volume and helping out a local American GM plant (from the Oldsmobile Bavada production end) and Subaru in Japan (which we also own ~50%).
What i don't understand is that the Opel Astra is very attractive to me, but we get crap like the Saturn Ion and Chevy Cobalt... If we sell the Opel Astra here, nobody would buy VW golfs anymore!
