Will 235/45/17 fit on '03 9.3ss? Rant...

After replacing the OEM Pirelli's 2 times in 16,000 miles, I need a tire with a longer tread life! Pirelli gave me a new set at a discount of 60 dollars/tire, but after just 4,000 miles (rotated at 2k) they're down to 3/32". I'm really upset and disappointed at SAAB for choosing a tire that needs to be replaced so often (every 4-6 months). Sure the grip great brand new, but I'm not part of a race team that swaps out the tires after a few laps to/from work. Even the service manager at the dealer said they are the wrong tire (too soft)for this car and it's role as an everyday car. I paid extra for the sport tire/wheel/ handling package at time of purchase, and now have paid for an additional set of tires which lasted 5 months (4k miles).
That said, I've been researching tirerack.com and have narrowed it down to Bridgestone Potenza G009 (ranked 3rd) and BFGoodrich Traction T/A H. Both come with a tread life warranty of 50k and 60k miles respectively. The BFGoodrich's, however, are available in 235/45/17 instead of the OEM 225/45/17. So, will that 235 size work O.K. on my car?
Any other tire input is appreciated.
P.S. This is my 4th Saab and none of the previous models had tire issues as the 2003 9-3ss.
Thanks, Nick in So. California
