I didn't consider my stock 1998 VFR 800 seat bad, until I had replaced it with a Sargent World Sport seat. I've done close to 990 miles in one day, could have gone farther.
Even if they don't have a standard seat for you, they can custom-build anything that you want. That "Atomic Cell" foam (or whatever they call it) really does work.
