LEASE RETURNS Final Inspection and Tires

I have a question in regards to tires. I just had my inspection report yesterday afternoon by an independent company through Saab. The report was clean with the exception of three tires that I need to replace or Saab can chage me $120 each.
The inspector suggested to buy three tires instead of turning the car in and having Saab charge me $120 each since I can probably do better on my own. I had asked him if I could change the tires to say an H rated vs the V rated tire since it might be a little less. He said absolutely. He also said that he does not even look at the rating of the tires other than the CONDITION and how much threat are left. He showed me the book and he said Saab DOES NOT SPECIFY THE ACTUAL RATING of the tires like for example AUDI, Porsche, or Mercedes, who are very specific.
Since he is the last person who inspected the car, all I have to do is go return the car to the Saab dealership, give a copy of the report along with a receipt that the new tires or the used tires (as long as they have enough thread) were purchased and I am good to go. At that point the delearship will give a receipt of the lease return with a copy of my final odometer reading. He said that Saab can not come after me if the work has been done (tires replaced!). All you need is 4/32 left on the tires (any tire)
Any experience with this????? Any thoughts
