Press and hold the "band" button at the same time you switch on the radio. After "start vol" appears on the SID, release the "band" button. Then tap the seek button until until "loudness" appears on the SID. Use the volume knob to toggle between "loudness on" and "loudness off." Wait ten seconds or press the "band" or "radio" button to exit the setting mode.
