Check your hoses.... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 27 Feb 2005 11:26:56 In Reply to: HELP! Leaking Coolant, chris, Sun, 27 Feb 2005 08:01:41 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The pictures appear to show coolant residue clinging to the bottom side of your automatic transmission. I would check hoses above the transmission and clamps on these hoses which could cause coolant to weep out, drip onto your transmission housing, then travel down to the ground.
I have the L4 engine and the upper radiator hose would be a prime candidate for this in the exact position where you see coolant residue. I am not familiar with V6 hose routing but my advice is the same.
A leaking coolant bottle (cracked maybe?), or leaking coolant return hose from radiator, would spill coolant in the same area.
