Paddles, darkwood and piddly stuff.... Automatics came with shift paddles. The early production Linears and Arcs still came with the 2002 lightwood dash. Later production cars went to the darkwood.
2004 was the minor MCE of the Aero, new front, rear and side valances and wheels. Linear sedans were discontinued as was the V6 in the Arc sedan and wagon. The V6 was replaced for more power with a 220hp 2.3 four. Arcs got the former Aero bodywork, except for the rear valance and chrome tailpipe and the lowering, Arcs sit 10mm higher.
If you don't need the paddles, 2002 and 2003 are virtually identical, 2002 not really being the first year as the 2001 to 2002 was only a mild enhancement. 2004 is hardly stripped. You got more horsepower and bigger brakes for less money and for that there were some minor, insignificant deletions, weatherband on the radio, umbrella holders on the B pillars, piddly stuff in comparison to the horsepower and price.
