All depending on how good of a DIY you are, this is a job that can go really bad if you are not used to replacing timing belts on a slew of different cars.
Some cars are really simple like the old Volvo 4 cyl with single cam shaft and some can be a challenge like the Volvo 4 cyl with double cam shafts and balance shafts (and the Saab V6 engine).
Me personally, I wouldn't want to do it without a couple of special tools that I have to hold the cam shafts in place, but I know that other people have done it.
It is also crucial to know how to turn the two eccentric mounted idler pulleys to time the front and rear cam shafts to each other and the 4 camshafts to crank shaft.
The setup and tools are the same for the Cadillac Catera and the Saturn L300 engine so the tools are readily available but costly (about $300.00).
