I just wish someone had a solution. My first thought was a dead spot on the sender unit resistence at the fuel pump. I hope not due to complete fuel pump with sender is about $5 bills without labor. My car is out of warranty. I kind of did not think it could be wiring loosing ground due to it only happens when full and if it was wiring it would happen at any time. I still think it is the sender unit in the tank with a dead spot. I will not be changing until it does it all the time or stops working. I set the trip set each time we fill and we know how far we can go. The full only malfunction will not threaten the guage usage. We always fill up on the bottom side of a half anyway. I like to keep the pump sumerged to transfer heat anyway.
