Groaning Rear Wheels

I have an '01 SWG, AT, 56k miles
I was on a 800 mile road trip this week. On the highway, I found that if I went 68 or below or 72 or above, the car sounded fine. But when I went 69 or 71, there was a moaning noise coming from the rear of the car. When I went 70, it sounded bad enought that I would not be able to talk comfortably on my mobile. Fine, I took it to 73 and all was well. But for the whole trip, I could tell if I was going 70 without having to look at the speedometer.
So here's the question: Is this road noise from tires that need to be replaced. I am running the OEMs on the rear (note 56K miles, but still 30% tread left), but good treads up front. Or am I hearing a bearing issue in the axle? At 48k miles, my dealer installed new rear bearings, but I can't guarantee they are not the problem.
So, do I get new tires, or new bearings, or both?
