That is not that critical. You need to remove old fluid from reservoir and renew, prior to bleeding. If you push in caliper pistons to return as much fluid to the reservoir when doing that, all the better.
When pushing on petal to bleed or just to advance the pistons and pads, never stroke the petal to the floor as this often leads to failed master cylinders as the soft cup seals get cut on rust deposits in the extremes of the MC that are not often travelled.
