Yes, Saabnet over the years has saved me untold piles of $$, and has allowed me to do a lot of repair and maintenance work I otherwise would be either unable to do, or be forced to rely on manuals alone. Everyone is just so generous with their advice.
I was a bit hesitant in buying this Aero, not due to the condition of the car - it just had a couple of minor scratches on the underside of the front spoiler, which you really have to look for if you want to notice them. I was hesitant because the dealership had only been a Saab dealer for about 1-1/2 years.
I have driven about 4 or 5 used Aeros in the past 2 years, and this was the lowest mileage (27K) and was absolutely dead silent on the road, from high speed to low. No clicks, no clunks, no funny noises, zip. The Iris report had routine maintenance, a couple of halogen headlight replacements, a SID and a cat converter - among the shortest Iris repair reports I have seen. The one-owner, off-lease history was properly documented. With 2 more years of CPO warranty, and at that mileage, I am confident that I picked the right car. The additional stuff was a set of brand new tires at CPO time (less than 300 miles on them), and a new set of BBS wheels replaced under warranty, before the CPO, under the original 36K/3 year period, less than 400 miles on them.
I don't expect to ever visit the selling dealer again, regardless. I don't really think they're dishonest, just kind of clueless about who might walk in and buy a Saab.
My local dealer, while nowadays a multi-mega giant selling almost everything on wheels, has an excellent Saab operation: honest, always trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, free Saab loaners for any repair. FWIW, the salesman who replaced the guy I'd known forever at this dealership never seemed very interested in finding me another Saab, since he knew I was never going to buy a brand-new one. Hmmm. I guess the fact that we bought our last two used Saabs from them didn't make much of an impression. Oh well.
