Rotors - I don't think it makes any difference. I installed the Zimmerman cross-drilled rotors for appearance purposes only at 80,000 miles and have been very happy with them.
Pads - Don't even consider Saab OEM pads unless you love cleaning brake gunk from your wheels, or never clean your wheels! I installed Mintex "Red Box" pads at 80,000 miles and have had no problems. Ceramics are very popular and don't leave visible dust on your wheels, EBC pads are very good but have a polarized following (people tend to either love them or hate them). Lots of other choices for pads; Hawk, PBR/Axis, etc., check with site sponsors for the brands they carry.
