The information is from the SID. I reset that on my driveway on the
first day and looked up the information when I got back three weeks later.
Large sections of the trip were running about 80 MPH on the cruise control,
pretty much from the Illinois border to Arizona.
I recall that when we arrived in Arizona (Southern Arizona, on the way to
Tucson) that the average speed was about 70 to 75 MPH. Then it went down
all the way to 44 MPH during the stay in Arizona. Lots of mountain roads
and short trips. But the 1600 mile trip back brought it back to 66 MPH.
Gasmileage was also interesting. It started out a lot lower, on the trip
to Arizona. I believe due to ethanol in the Gas in Illinois. Then it got
better when we went down south. I'm very happy with the 28.1 MPG for the whole trip.
In early January I made a 300 mile trip to the Mississippi river and I only got 21 MPH and that was with
only highway driving (75 MPH), in very cold weather though (10F I believe).
