No Heat unless on HI

I had the code 08 problem and did the DIY fix.
Now I get warm air sometimes, and other times I don't get it unless I set the ACC to HI.
The probelm is only on the drivers side. Maybe I put the stop on the control shaft backwards?
Auto_calibration gives no problems, though I used to get a 13 occasionally. I think that is the distribution flap for the left-right mix, but can't recall.
Any thing I should check? I may try putting the stop on the other way, but I don't think it'll go back together that way.
Thanks,
James
