So, my 99MY 9-5 2.3lpt had the same problem, and I was advised that it could be the check valve in the fuel pump, or the crank position sensor. Since I listened to Ian Glenday and others with the same engine, I had one on hand, and got them to change the CPS... since then no starting problems. I also just did the 50000 mile tune-up, and there were no problems detected in the fuel system. I say give it a bit of time, and make sure then plugs are in good condition. You may have had two problems, one which masked the other....
