Engine and car replacement

This week my 2002 Aero had a new engine block and turbo put in....I'm guessing they replace the block and turbo and then stick all the old stuff back on...This is being done at no charge to me as I got the car 5 months ago with 38K on it, and now it only has 44k. The dealer gave me a free loaner and overall I'm pleased with how this has been handled. Now I have a new "engine" in a car with 44k miles.
My question is....the same dealership has a sweet 2003 Aero with auto trans. in silver (mine is blk) very clean with only 18k on it. Should I try to trade mine (with a slight sympathy factor) which will never be worth more then it is today, and get into the 2003? I could go right to the same sales guy and explain that I've had the entire clutch assembly and now the engine replaced...and "I'm not happy" and try to force his hand...
BTW, I owe about 16k on mine, they're asking 28500 on the 2003. My payments are in the low 300's and I'd like to keep them there.
Thoughts? Mr. Lynch, would you like to enlighten me?
Bob
