With today's car it is more likely to be a computer glitch instead of a sensor being broken.
To begin with, fault codes needs to be read and understood. It might point to something completly different than a faulty sensor or? it might point to a faulty sensor and when you replace it, you still have the warning message due to that the computer didn't know how to deal with the real problem and just think it is a sensor fault.
