Tech 2 programming: what can be done? Posted by magalar [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Hi there,
Yesterday I went to see Carmine (from SYLCAR, an indie shop in Montreal, PQ) to have some reprogramming of the head/fog lights and the temp gauge. At first, even if he has a Tech 2 since a while, he was afraid of screwing things. But we managed to do it together, it is real easy. The temp gauge is now reflecting the true temp, a nice feature when you drive hard...
We also agreed to spend some time together soon to learn more about all the features that can be set-up by the Tech 2. Both our 9-5s will be the test "mules". And after that session, he will be my man for what the dealer don't want to do. Obviously, I don't have any $$$ interest in that, I don't know him personnaly, yada, yada...
Oh, BTW, Sylcar is in Lachine, at 2059 Hingston, 514-489-8599. He stocks all the wear parts for the 9-5, including the DIS cassette (never sold one yet!), the flex-pipe (from Bosal), the cabin filter, Mann oil filter and Lubromoly 0W40.
So, for now, since he nor me have the Tech 2 programmation manual, I would like to know what can/can't be set-up.
But do consider that I already know about the "simple" set-ups (as found here: http://www.rothskeller.net/steve/saab_options.html).
What I need to know is the other stuff, like the tire diameter parameters, the radio/CD changer "wedding", etc...
Where can I get this information ?
Thanks in advance,
magalar
2001 9-5W that will get new P-Zero Nero or Pilot XGT V4 this week. I will decide when I see them in the "flesh"...
