Storing wheels and tires

Not sure where to post this but...
I've recently purchased a set of new wheels and I'm planning to store my original set of wheels and tires. Other than laying them down flat in a non-damp environment, are there anything else I can do to ensure that they remain in good condition?
Slightly lower the tire pressure? Wipe them down with a tire protectant once a year? Anything else?
Thanks
