There are two ways to replace the front drinkholder on the SAAB 9-5. I've had the dash out on my 9-5 several times so I know that the second method works, but it takes an extera couple of hours.
Method 1.: Remove the radio and the metal shell that holds it. The drinkholder is held in by 2 torx T-20 screws at the top and bottom. The drinkholder is available seprately from SAAB (Cupholder 52 0 702, screws [two required] 49 40 102).
Method 2.: Remove the dash. This may add as much as 2 hours to the effort.
