Hood has already been painted once, and sure can use it again. I'm sure being black it stands out more than lighter colors though. But I saw some demo cars at the dealership recently with about 2500 +/- miles on them and they were pretty chipped up also...not quite as bad though. But I did have to look pretty closely to see them as opposed to my black which you can spot easily from 20 feet away.
