It seems that they hold up ok until 120K miles. But after that it is more luck and how the car has been maintained.
You see, lack of oil changes deteriorate seals, so if the engine has seen very few oil chnages, the lifespan of the seal are shortened.
I also see much more of oil leaks here in LA than on cars coming from being driven in colder parts of the country. So climate plays a role too.
Cam sprocket have one T50 bolt in the center and it needs to be tighten down really good after seal has been replaced. It is many stories about the number 3 and 4 cam sprockets coming loose, trashing the engine.
